Benagil Caves Tour

Last October I visited the Algarve for one week. Besides photography I did some hiking along the spectacular coastline and I also went exploring the huge coastal caves via boat.

I was staying in Benagil, which is a great place. Not only has it a beautiful little beach itself, in walking distance are also Praia da Marinha, Albandeira and Alfanzina Lighthouse.

I had a great time photographing the beaches and cliffs, but for one day I left the big camera in the appartment and took my GoPro for a boat tour starting right in Benagil. There are quite some tour providers along the Algarve coast, most of them also doing cave tours. But while I saw many of the other boats just looking at the caves from the seaside, our captain took us right into the caves.

So if you ever visit the area and want to do a boat tour, I recommend heading to Benagil and booking a tour down at the beach. The little video above shows how much fun it was.
