Venice is a wonderful city in the north of Italy. It's also a tourist city that can get very busy at times. Especially during the daytime in summer, the narrow alleys are buzzing with people.
That's why the best time to experience Venice is early morning or evening when most people will be crowding the many restaurants. Only as the streets get empty, the magic of Venice unfolds.
This photo was taken in the evening in the heart of Venice. For me, it shows everything that Venice is about: A canal with a gondolier, small bridges, and colorful facades. I waited until Blue Hour to capture this scene in perfect light.
