Description
Located in the Quarry Bay area of Hong Kong, the Yick Cheong Building is a marvelous place to visit, especially at night. Due to its size and dense array of apartments, it is also called the Monster Building. Looking up from the yard in the middle of this housing complex creates a claustrophobic feeling.
You usually meet many photographers with cameras angled up toward the sky if you visit in the evening. I also couldn’t resist capturing this view during my first visit to Hong Kong a few years ago. The orange glow in the sky comes from the deep clouds catching the city lights. This photo looks most captivating in a large format print.
