In the vast expanse of southern Morocco lies the magnificent Erg Chigaga desert, a mesmerizing landscape that epitomizes the allure of the Sahara. Stretching as far as the eye can see, this majestic sea of sand beckons adventurers to embark on an unforgettable journey into the heart of the desert.
The Erg Chigaga is known for its towering dunes, rising like colossal waves frozen in time. These golden giants, sculpted by the wind, create a surreal and ever-changing panorama that leaves visitors in awe.
To capture the magnificent display of nature shown in this photographic fineart print, I climbed one of the highest dunes in the Erg before sunset as you can see in the video below. As the sun descended lower and lower in the sky, the dunes began to glow in golden hues as dark shadows began to hide the valleys between these mountains of sand.
